My mother, who is a senior citizen, received a visit from a PALMco representative earlier today. I was in another room of the house and thought the door knock was from her social worker. I started to overhear the conversation between my mother and the visitor and immediately got alarmed when I heard the rep talk about "saving money." I went to the living room to check out what was going on, when I saw the PALMco rep, a young college girl, looking at my mother's electricity/gas bills. A girl kbocked on my door claming to be with Columbus Public Utility Commission stating that our electric carrier in ohio had recently been through a lawsuit and that they were going around to every house to ensure that everyone was being charged correctly. Needless to say after some quick talking on her behalf she roped me into signing up with Palm co for a lower rate on my electric bill. Absolutely disgusted! Everything was okay until they don't tell you your rates go up after 3 months & they just failed to tell me that when I called. My bill has raised extremely because of them. I have never ever had a bill this high until I signed up with them. Biggest mistake of my life! They are terrible & I recommend no one signing up with them. They do nothing for you also as far as fixing the price . My McF is at 9$ right now.. absolutely sickening!

We use ********** for our electric energy company. A PALMco representative came through our building knocking door to door to tell us about our ability to switch electric suppliers. He offered us a lower rate on our supply side energy. Since the energy bill is in my roommate's name, the representative asked me to pose as her for the verification call (including her DOB, which he offered I should just find on ********) -- at this point, I was not okay with doing this and let him know I would wait for my roommate to get home. ... read more

We signed up for Palmco(now wishing we hadn't). Our first mo. Was very reasonable and we thought "hey, we made a very good choice for our has and electric". Now our bill has jumped from $250.00/mo(you better sit down for this)to over $500.00..more than doubling! I beg you to not fall for there business tactics. Palmco=SCAM! I am reporting them to our Attorney General in the state of Illinois. PalmCo is a scam and I intend to do whatever it takes to recoup the thousands of dollars they have cost me! They make promises that they are better than the company I have and remarkably cheaper! False Advertisement! Palmco assured me that my electric bill would always be cheaper than the company I had. Let me ask you Palmco, how it cheaper and more affordable to a low income customer when at the time of the call that you promised it was, you were charging me 20cents/ per kil hour, compared to my company charging 8 cents/ pe... read more

Potential customers should proceed with extreme caution. 6 months service with PALMco energy cost just over 2x market fixed rate plans. Calling their customer service department provided just over a $50.00 refund which places their total rate at just under 2x (1.86x) market fixed rate plans. Buy beware!

We get weekly phone calls from customer service agents who work for PALMco and, after having a bad experience with using them as an energy supplier, have asked them not to call repeatedly. I just got off the phone with a representative who was argumentative and would not accept my request to take us off of the call list. I have never had someone argue with me that badly even after I stated the reason why I did not want them to call us.
