consistent, good food – It's a fun place to eat and the food is consistent. The bar specials are incredible!
Fun atmosphere, dependable food – I have been going to the Palm for years, and the food is good, the atmosphere is warm... It has become a Philadelphia classic.
An Era that never dies. – With nostalgia cartoons painting a history landscape on the surrounding walls and authentic 1950’s style of gentlemen service, this restaurant is worth every penny. Not only is it a historical valued landmark, its meals rival the finest that New York has to offer. I had a 16 ounce female Lobster with the roe still inside married to a delightful Filet Mignon (aged beef) that melted gently against your taste buds to the point that you would lean back with closed eyes into a bliss of wonderment. MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE STEAKHOUSE – I've been a patron of this terrific place for years! It is absolutely my very favorite place! My husband and I bring friends, family and clients who we want to impress with yummy steaks and seafood. This is THE place where you can relax and enjoy fresh, high-quality food (better than your mom's). The wait staff bends over backwards to accomodate you and your guests. The maitre'd, Al, is the perfect host and always manages to entertain you while he ochestrates the hundreds of patrons who freq... read more
Power Lunch or after theatre – Great for a big lunch, nice location on the avenue of the arts. If your in the mood for steak or seafood after the theatre, this is a winner
Always good – Food was great, service great. Been to this locationa and in Tampa, FL always a good meal. We were celebrating my daughters 14th birthday and everything went great. She had the lobster bisque and loved it. I had the veal and my husband had Filet. All the sides are great. I ordered a Lemon drop martini and I got something else. Waiter was quick to take it away and bring what I ordered.
$16 Ice Cream With A Straight Face – I have spent a lot of money here over the years with friends and clients, but I am done after this experience -- particularly considering the great new steakhouses that have opened across town. Notably, they are packed on a Saturday night at 9:30 or 10:00, unlike the Palm -- which seems to be fading away quickly. Nevertheless, the Palm clearly did not appreciate my business this evening. Our party of four arrived around 9:45 for dessert after seeing a show down the street. Although the re... read more
Wonderful food – Very good food, great and fast service, just a bit pricey though. I think that this is the best steak and lobster restaurant around. We all had sumptuous dinners, but all felt that it was a bit too much food and the prices were somewhat high. Overall I would go back as often as possible. Quiet and relaxing.
Upscale steakhouse rewards high-profile patrons by immortalizing their likenesses in colorful caricatures. – In Short With its Italian-tinged menu and playful artwork on the walls, this national chain (which got its start in 1926) maintains a congenial atmosphere even as corporate patrons use company credit cards to pay for 36-ounce New York strips or jumbo lobsters. Sitting in dark wood chairs placed at tables topped in white linen, suit-jacketed gents and ladies sup on prime steaks, chops and hearty portions of classic Old... read more
