I’m a VSO and I cannot begin to tell you the all of the issues my Clients have with this facility. Travel Pay, Community Care and Patient Advocacy are a complete joke. If you call they will quickly transfer you to someone else because none of it is their problem. You can call 10 times and get 10 different answers none of which address the problem. I am veteran from Florida already approved to be seen and was seen by an excellent staff at a VA facility in Viera Florida. I am a disabled veteran have tried numerous times in the past 2 months to get a voice on the phone at Overton Brooks. I actually talked to someone in benefits made me fill out ANOTHER 1010ez because the online system won't let me do it again! I wait and wait for a return call while my prescriptions run low. Sitting in Overton Brooks VA Medical Center listening to the ladies that do the screening and check-ins at the Emergency and MRI department talk crap about me and the other veteran who’s also waiting 2 hours past his appointment time to get an MRI. Why? Did we get rude with anyone? No. I asked if my name was called while I was in the restroom and if I’d missed my chance, or if I they know I’m still waiting.
