they don't care how people feel I been sitting here for four hours in pain and no one is even trying to make SURE a person is good I HATE THIS HOSPITAL I HATE IT THEY TO BUSY TALKING TO EACH OTHER

RecommendedNursing care was very good! I was very pleased. One of the nurses reacted very defensively every time I made a comment or asked a question, but she was kind and helpful. Patient hospital food is okay, but it could be significantly improved with a greater variety of vegetables and fruits. Breakfast was not good because they don't used shelled eggs, which affects the taste and texture, and the breakfast potatoes were not good - my mom wouldn't eat much of her breakfast as a result. RecommendedThis hospital is a lot better than it used to be. I remember when it wasn't a Sentara facility. There were a lot of problems back in the day. We've had 4 inpatient visits with family members in the past year. The staff here is amazing. Services are top notch. The meals aren't as good as at Sentara Princess Anne, but still quite tasty. If you have to stay in the hospital, it's a pretty good place to do it.

Their physical annoyance with answering my questions at the front (no matter how trivial)was evident. Since I self pay I like to have a better understanding of what I am paying for, especially since the estimated charges varied. I guess shame on those who pay for services without insurance of any kind. I will say the nurse who assisted me and Dr were GREAT. Humility goes along way.
