Redstone Castle is the former home of Colorado Fuel and Iron Company's founder John Cleveland Osgood. Following Osgood's demise in 1926, his third wife Lucille attempted to convert it into a resort but was met with failure. The entire estate sprawls across 150 acres (60.7 hectares) of land. The castle was designed by Theodore Boal in the Tudor style. Spread over 24,000 square feet (2,200 square meters), this vast mansion houses 42 rooms. Renowned names like John D. Our family recently visited the Redstone Castle for a beautiful weekend getaway! We cannot share a more glowing review and give a bigger thanks to all of the staff during our trip! The history, the decor, the scenery and the breakfast were amazing, and our overall experience is one that we will always cherish!

We loved our stay at The Redstone Castle. Candace and Vicki were so welcoming when we arrived and made sure we were taken care of! We looked forward to breakfast in the sunroom every morning, and the evening happy hour was a special way to wind down the day before dinner. We also enjoyed sitting out on the front terrace. Access to the kitchen and refrigerated beverages was helpful as we went out on hikes. The manor has been beautifully restored and the rooms all have so much historic personality but still have the upgraded t... read more

My friend and I were looking for a quick weekend getaway. We stumbled upon this place online and decided to give it a shot. We immediately fell in love when we got there. It was so serene and peaceful. Candice was super accommodating, breakfast was amazing. It's a chunk of cash but, an experience you will not soon forget!

This was a last minute get away. I wish we had more time there but now that I have been there, I WILL go back. It was like a historic tour that had NO ROPES and no "No admittance" signs posted. A part of history that we got to live in and experience for ourselves, not just see from behind a rope! The finishing touches were beautifully done. The restorations were perfect. The tour was enlightening and full of details - no rushing! The breakfast that was included was NOT what you expect. It was a castle breakfast made just for... read more

Beautiful boutique hotel that has been meticulously restored by the newest owners. We stayed in the Roosevelt Suite, which was lovely and comfortable. Candace was a wonderful host to us, providing a fascinating tour, and yummy libations and breakfast. We look forward to returning during the summer months and experiencing the castle in a different season.
