After many years of back and leg pain it has now been a year since I have my lumbar fusion surgery (XLIF procedure). I feel a million times better and I am constantly still improving. I am so happy I made this decision and I have zero regrets. The level of care I received at Orthopedics New England and at Newton Wellesley Hospital was excellent.
I had been dealing with back and leg pain for several years. I was able to deal with the pain for the first year with physical therapy and injections for the first few years but the pain continued to get worse over time and the injections no longer provided relief. I was referred to Dr. Zannikos through my physiatrist. Dr. Zannikos pinpointed my condition as soon as I started explaining my symptoms. He's very professional and a very personable surgeon. I was referred to him by my neighbor. I found that Dr. Zannikos and his PA Sarah listened to all my concerns and explained the whole process very thoroughly. My surgery was performed within 2 weeks of seeing him in the office and I had several appointments with him and Sarah after surgery to check on my progress. I have recovered well after my microdiscectomy and I have been recommending him to all my other neighbors and friends with back issues!

I was referred to Dr. Zannikos from my PCP. I was able to make an appointment promptly and when I showed up to the office wait time was small and staff was friendly. Dr. Zannikos is courteous, informative, and very professional. I was in severe pain and Dr. Zannikos was able to do my microdiscectomy within 3 days. I am so thankful!

I had a total knee replacement with Dr Rockett 9 weeks ago. My experience with Dr Rockett and his staff from front desk, nurses, technicians and physical assistance was top notch. Prior to surgery all of my questions & concerns were addressed. Day of surgery went perfectly. Nurse and PA contacted next day to check in and end of week Dr Rockett followed up with a phone call as well. My wife was updated prior to surgery and after surgery keeping her informed. I had my L4-5 fusion done November 2023 by Dr. Zannikos. I was so nervous getting the surgery but thankfully Dr. Zannikos and his staff was very helpful in calming my nerves down. He saw me in the hospital daily after surgery. I feel very fortunate to find such a wonderful doctor close to my home in Uxbridge. I have suffered for more than one year from severe pain and numbness shooting down the back of my leg and foot. I had several steroid injections and many weeks of physical therapy with no relief at all. I was even started on pain nerve medication which just made me sleepy and gain weight but also did not help the pain. I saw one surgeon prior to Dr. Zannikos who told me that he could not help me. Dr Zannikos always addresses my concerns and answers all my questions at every visit. He is very kind, patient and considerate. Even more important is how good I feel after my laminectomy. Surgery went well and I no longer have the horrible pain in my calves and feet when I walk and sleep. I have no more night time pain and I can sleep through the night without pain. this is the best I have slept in years! I highly recommend.
