Research is a major part of my job so I came to Dr. Joyce with many, many questions about how best to avoid a hip replacement and then, eventually, on the pros and cons of types of replacements, types of joints, etc, and on management going forward. Excellent, caring surgeon/ practitioner
Dr. Joyce is the only doctor that I would trust to treat my family. He has basically rebuilt both my shoulders (so I could coach and play baseball again). He made my 50+ shoulders work like they did when I was 30. I was able to play baseball in 3 leagues (over25, over 35 and over 45)and play with the young pups in the over 25 league. When my knee gave me problems, he looked at it and said that most of it was good but part of it needed to be replaced. Dr Joyce and Eric were wonderful, they explained every thing to me about my surgery for hip replacement and I also had knee replacement six months later. The office help were very nice and helpful . I would recommend Dr Joyce to anyone.
Dr. Joyce replaced my knee and straightened my leg. I am recovering well.
I had hip problems for over 5 years and because I’m only 19 most doctors (I saw 4 different doctors and two different physical therapists in that time) assumed that there was no problem. I could never run or do any strenuous physical activities because of those issues. I have been Dr Joyce’s patient for twenty five years. I call it “body by Joyce”. My first operation he did was on my torn ACL. First I went to another orthopedic surgeon with my torn ACL (unbeknownst to me), and that doctor said, “You’re just trying to drive a beat up old Chevrolet to California!” I was a healthy forty year old at the time.
