Great hospital took great care of my mother till her passing very compassionate medical staff
The staff here is amazing! They are always kind and caring and actually listen, unlike Swedish. Very professional and appropriate attitudes here.
Excellent care: intelligent and compassionate! Always have the patient's welfare "front and center".
Had an ablation in the cath lab yesterday. Definitely state of the art facility. Everyone was amazing at taking care of me. So caring and concerned. I was really impressed!

I have been to Porter Twice now and both time I have been treated terribly. The nursing staff is incredibly rude and they all seem like they hate their jobs. It seems understaffed as I waited 3 hours with a gaping hole in my face (I was bit my a dog) to see a doctor who proceeded to shoot my face with 20 shots of numbing medication (an incredibly painful process). The next time I need emergency care I would rather drive a few hours to a decent hospital than go to Porter. This place should honestly be shut down.
I have not been impressed with hospital from day one with the care of my mother. Doctors, nurses and other specialist do not communicate amongst themselves what is needed to be done for the patient, nor do they communicate with the patients what is going on with their care. Every time a new doctor or nurse comes in they have no idea what tests have been done or need to be done. It has become joke with family about how you don't need to go on a diet, just go to Porter Hospital where they will starve you to death! I will make ... read more
