I have always loved and admired the arts that came to the Orpheum. Some of your shows were risk takers and some were family oriented. But what you have done by eliminating this classic piece of cinematography is absolutely stupidity at its best. It's a simple thing....if you don't approve of the movie.....don't go! Hattie McDaniel is one of the greatest classic African American actresses of her time. You have shamed her performance.

The producer of Gone with the wind, Selznick, double checked with the NAACP while making the movie to ensure it was historically accurate and to tell them he was not trying to increase racial tensions by portraying that time period. The NAACP thanked Selznick and approved of the movie. Now 78 years later, there's a problem. We can't change history and trying to erase it is a detriment to our society. Hattie won an award for her amazing performance and to minimize that achievement is awful.

Stopped showing Gone With The Wind due to "racial concerns". Dumbest shit I've ever heard in my life.

Seriously?? Do you not know the history behind the making of this movie, they worked with NAACP etc.. This is insanity!!! I can no longer support this theater displaying such sheer ignorance . That's why we have a History, we LEARN FROM IT.

Terrible that you would remove a classic like Gone With The Wind to appease a few. What will be next!

Truly one of the worst choices you have made. This is censorship. Those in the arts usually promote acceptance and tolerance. You should have utilized the showing of GWTW as an opportunity to educate all that this is the very first movie that Hattie McDaniel. The very first African American ever to win an Academy Award. Talk about breaking barriers and changing history for the better. Mark my words because of your unwise decision...it is only a matter of time before 911 becomes a non event.
