Arrow--Where Are You? – There is more than a foot of snow in the John's Landing neighborhood. One after another people on our street put out their garbage and recycling bins, following the leaders, while on some neighboring streets not a single bin can be seen. Arrow Sanitary: Jury's still out – Arrow Sanitary, part of a waste management conglomerate, has replaced Trashco for residential service in SE Portland as of Oct. 1, 2008. During the big December snowstorm, Arrow picked up trash, but didn't pick up recycling. When called, they reported that customers would need to wait until the following week. Trashco always made arrangements for later pickup when weather caused a delay. Let's hope that we're not billed for a service we did not receive.
