Yea just like all the other comments!! Ive been dealing with the same BS this company is a joke and a scam!! Cant wait for my LAST TWO PAYMENTS to be withdrawn so I can finally put this scam of a company behind me the system that they use an follow is super weird like why do I have to get a co signer for the SAME LOAN AMOUNT FROM THE FIRST TIME??? Makes NO SENSE..

Someone tried to open a fraudulent account under my name. I still don't know if it's a personal loan or credit card. I was trying to report this and was hung up on 3 times by customer service after holding >30 minutes each time. Unintelligible voicemail left by them 3 days later. I attempted to call back and was told multiple times it could take up to 30 days to get a call back after telling them 3 times I was returning a call, he said. Applied, was approved and had my money in less than 3 days. Was able to pay off two of my CCs and have some for bills. The ONLY negative is that I my initial offer was for a minimum loan of $800 and I only was offered $600. But everything else is so far so good.

I would love to know why a letter addressed to my SEVEN YEAR OLD came in the mail saying she was approved for a loan! This is NOT acceptable.

Sneaky Bait and switch; soft pull without permission decreased my FICO score 48 points & then they wanted me to provide a co-signer! Wow! Why? So you can soft pull their FICO down as well. Sorry I am not going to reward this unethical bad business all the way around. Shameful! Kicking Americans in the teeth when they are already on the ground.

I received my first loan offer with less than 600 credit. Was approved for $800. I paid it early in two months. Now that I really need a loan and my credit is at 660 Ive been denied 3 months consecutively. I dont know how there system works. Its pretty frustrating. More so when you were qualified before and paid them early.. This is my last time doing business with this company.

I got a letter in the mail saying I was pre-approved for a credit card. That of I went online I could enter my information and they would do a soft credit check with no harm to my credit score... Within a minute I got a notification saying there had been a negative impact on my credit due to a hard credit inquiry.. and that it could be on there for years... That was a LIE of what was advertised... And if I knew the yearly fee was so high I wouldn't have put in my information to begin with. Stay away from this company.

I have done business with Oportun for over 1yr. I have always been provided excellent and professional customer service. They kept me informed with the process for a loan and the money was deposited in a timely manner just as they stated. I highly reccommend Oportun if you are in need of a loan.
