I had an appointment for 3pm today. When I arrived I was told that they were running late(about an hour) and there was a few people ahead of me. I was told to go get something to eat or run errands but since I live very close I would go home and they would text me. I decided to go back at 4:15 and there was still people ahead of me. I was walking around Oakland Park, when I read a sign that said “blood donors are needed.” So I said why not help someone who needs it, when I got to the site, the staff was attentive and pleasant until one of the questions that came up on the form asking if I’ve had sex in the last 3 months with someone of the same sex to which, of course, I replied naturally yes, because I’m gay. Highly recommended. We worked out hard this morning and wanted to give up some blood 💪 We recieved the most amazing service ever experienced on the big red bus. Orlis. D, Burnadette V., and Jenna M. helped us today at the Neighborhood Walmart in Melbourne. They were kind, informative and experienced in what they do. Nothing but laughs and great conversation. I donated today in Fort Mill, SC. There were only two OneBlood employees working when I arrived and I thought there might be quite a wait. Nope. They both were very efficient, professional, and super nice! No pain and I was out in a very short amount of time with no issues. It was a great experience and I would happily donate with OneBlood again. 👍☺
Yesterday I donated blood and was told that if I get the Covid vaccine I won't be able to donate blood for a year. Anyone see a problem with this.
