After reading carefully all of the information on the Can I Donate section on One Blood’s website my family and I all made appointments. My sister was told once she got there that she was not eligible to donate because she lived in England in the 80’s. She explained that their website says that if you were military or military dependent that you are eligible. The lady was rude and argued and put her on a permanent deferral list. first time donor, the one blood donation center that I went to in St. Petersburg made me feel comfortable and after awhile I was relaxed enough to donate blood.

I went today. I haven't given blood in almost 40 years! I used to give half pints (when I weighed less) for Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. I decided to go after seeing the busses around the area. Susan and Alex were really nice and explained everything very well. The procedure was done in no time. So excited to get a cool tee shirt and a gift card too! I'm signing up to give every 56 days. It makes me feel good helping people.
