Not as good as usual. Cornbread and slaw were awesome but catfish fillets were very thin. Somebody got crazy with the hot sauce in the greens, about blew the top of my head off—a little goes a long way! Service was excellent as usual. Hoping for better next time. ♥️

I have never had a bad experience or meal at On The River. Everything I have tried has been excellent. The fried pickles are a must every time we go, the gumbo is fantastic, they’re seafood is spot on, and their steaks never disappoint. Been going here since they were Cock o’ the Walk across the street. My only complaint - they don’t flip the cornbread at your table anymore (that’s not a complaint, just being humorous).

Their onion rings are the best I've ever eaten. The waitress said they are made fresh daily. The grilled & fried shrimp were amazing too. Our daughter had the fried chicken sandwich & said it was delish. We will def eat here again whenever we come down that way.
It was our first time in Surfside and the lovely people, wonderful service, and delicious food made us feel more than welcome, we highly recommend! 😁
