I had been suffering severe hip pain for several months and consulted with several orthopedic surgeons re. surgery. You can skip that step and go directly to Dr. Barzideh. It was a pleasure dealing with the good doctor. He is personable and patient in answering my questions in easy to understand language. I had a total right hip replacement using the anterior method. The surgery and recovery time were much easier than I anticipated. It is a partnership between you and Dr. Barzideh. He provided an excellent result, but as the patient, you have to assist in your recovery by exercising before and after the surgery and following their directions.
Dr Barzideh is a skilled surgeon who explains everything to you. He is kind and caring. I recommend him highly. The joint replacement program at Winthrop is excellent and so is Dr. Barzideh
Almost all the reviews here are about joint replacement surgery. However, I was not impressed with this doctors diagnostic skills. He diagnosed me with a torn meniscus, which the MRI showed I have, but he failed to realize that the pain was on the complete opposite side of my knee- outside corner, while torn meniscus is in the back on the knee. Went to another well regarded orthopedic who actually looked at the films and correctly diagnosed my arthritis and treated me with gel shots.
