Prohibition ended in Nebraska on August 9th, 1933, and Ole's opened at 12:01 the next day. Since then, we've been known as the bar in Paxton with great food and unusual decor. Over the years, our founder, the great outdoorsman Ole Herstedt, embarked on adventures in big game hunting that took him to every continent. RecommendedI have been here many times during my travels across nebraska and it is always well worth the stop.
Ok the food was average and reasonably priced, but you go here for the atmosphere of this place and memorabilia. Lots of big game animals and things to see in here. A nice resting/eating stop on the long trek across Nebraska.
