With a name like the Old Homestead, you are almost certain that this restaurant praises the bovine from top to bottom. The Old Homestead Steak House first opened in 1868 and it remains a straightforward, old-fashioned steakhouse without sacrificing any of the modern amenities. In this sense, thankfully, it is no longer that difficult to get Kobe beef from Japan, which probably wasn't on the menu in 1868. Most of the dishes are priced in the higher range, but are well worth your money.

There's just nothing like a great aged steak! The crab cakes are wonderful as well. I had the ribeye and I'll probably avoid steak for a while to keep the memory of this one alive for a while. Dined alone, but really this is a place that calls out for a good friend or two to share the experience with. I'm thinking I'll be back next year.

This place has been on my bucket list for the longest time. I finally was able to get there and I have to say I was completely disappointed. I will not return.Took forever to get drinks refilled. Porterhouse for two looked like for one. I have no issues paying for a good meal but this was a little pricey for what we got. Not to mention how bad the staff was.
