The Old Homestead Steak House first opened in 1868 and it remains a straightforward, old-fashioned steakhouse without sacrificing any of the modern amenities. In this sense, thankfully, it is no longer that difficult to get Kobe beef from Japan, which probably wasn't on the menu in 1868. Most of the dishes are priced in the higher range, but are well worth your money.

Fabulous dinner!! My fiance and I had the Filet for 2, it was melt in your mouth good! Cooked to perfection! We highly recommend it!

Years ago, my cousin took me to The Old Homestead for the most amazing Prime Rib (always my favorite cut of beef). I was on my way from Israel (where I was living then and still do) to visit family in North Carolina, so he wanted to give me a taste of what I had been missing! I can only give the best review as The Porterhouse for two was cooked perfectly! The Crab cake was delicious! Everything we ate and the service truly great.
