The Old Homestead Steak House first opened in 1868 and it remains a straightforward, old-fashioned steakhouse without sacrificing any of the modern amenities. In this sense, thankfully, it is no longer that difficult to get Kobe beef from Japan, which probably wasn't on the menu in 1868. Most of the dishes are priced in the higher range, but are well worth your money.

I visited on 11/4/17 for the first time and I wasn't disappointed. The Buffalo mozzarella with tomato appetizer was fantastic as was my 24oz Gotham steak which I pared with creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything that my group ordered was cooked to perfection, the wait staff were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be back again
The prime rib is BIG, yet tender, tasty and easy to eat. Truffle macaroni & cheese also recommended.
