I work as a nurse in another health care system and I just have to say, Doernbecher is doing things right. My daughter is being seen by the pediatric dermatology department and had a procedure done today. They're timely, knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough. From the check in desk to the nurses and doctors, everyone was on their game. Every work flow seems to keep the pediatric patient in mind. Absolutely the best of the best.
My daughter is 8 months old and the cardiology team is incredible. They explain to me what is going on multiple times over to make sure i understand. They talk a lot about what is the right course of action. They are so nice and caring, and the nurses in the PICU make staying with here more pleasant(even though we'd rather not be there). The nurses do a magnificent job. Everyone just makes sure that not only is the child taken care of but so is the mom. There's no other hospital I would rather take her to.

My daughter was air lifted to Doernbechers where she spent a week and a half in the PICU and the MED-SURG floors after being hit by a car which resulted in numerous skull fractures and a traumatic brain injury. I unfortunately cannot remember everyone's name that cared for her but a nurse in the PICU, Katelyn, is so easily remembered. So supportive, reassuring and kind. We hated to leave her! Everyone was so nice but my entire family adored her. She made the worst time of our lives a little bit easier! God Bless you all!!
amazing! i would only ever take my child here if something were wrong. Dr. Peter Kurre is the man! The nurses are AMAZING and everyone genuinely cares about the children they are helping
I am now 58 years old....55 years ago I spent a solid month in intensive care from burns. I owe a life time of gratitude to Doernbecher Children's Hospital ♡♡♡
I absolutely love dornbechers! My son has had two open heart surgeries and a hernia repair here. I wouldn't have him seen any where else!
