I like this hospital because I feel the nurses are awesome. We had Bobbie as our nurse and Teresa. so nice and attentive to our baby. We got free pizza in the family lounge which helps because we dont have too much to spend on food. The only thing that was an issue was not having a place to sleep since theres only 1 bed in each room besides the crib. Hotels here are too expensive and we didnt qualify for Ronald McDonald house. They have a lot of volunteers who donate stuff like blankets, hats, care bags for parents that has ... read more
Wednesday night our 1.5 yr old daughter fell off a chair, had a seizure, was temporarily paralyzed on her right side. At the time, we all thought head trauma which cause seizure. She was life flighted to the hospital and a FULL team was waiting to check her. I cried for my baby and I cried when I saw all the wonderful men and women who were there to take care of her! Our daughter has had multiple surgeries at Doernbecher and countless visits to different clinics within the hospital. We have always had the best care and been treated with complete respect and kindness. They're simply amazing.
The Dr and nurses really care. Dr Gary Silberbach Cardio is so awesome.
On the 4th of July my son tripped and fell over a log while playing with his friends and broke his arm. After going to 2 different hospitals we were sent to Doernbechers because he needed surgery to pin his arm back together. After a very long day and even longer night we arrived at Doernbechers around 4:00 in the morning. The nurses and staff were incredible!
