Ochsner Medical Center staff are so amazing. The doctors, nurses, cafeteria workers, housekeeping, etc. are all so friendly and extremely helpful. So glad my mom chose Ochsner for her healthcare needs.
The transplant part of the hospital is great. Couldn't ask for a better care. The other part of the hospital is horrible. Shared rooms cleaning in the middle of the night. Some nurses were not on the up and up and some were great. If I had a choice would not come back here ever again!!
Brought my friend in for surgery yesterday , 7/31/17 , Jefferson Hwy. 1st going to pre admit counter , is not handicap accessible. If your in a wheel chair you can not see over the counter to hold a conversation , get your arm bag, etc. Just awful. Then in recovery, rude , no smile or any type of humor the doctors and staff in the OR. Very informative, friendly. No one knows directions on how to pick up patient or where the location is located. The breakfast was cold in the cafeteria and would not take back.
My mother had a heart transplant 3 years ago. I am her primary caregiver. This is by far the best hospital/medical center around. It has become our second home. A home away from home. Every time sever been there, the red carpet treatment was given. From the top doctors all the way to the janitors. Top notch employees at this place. I highly recommend Ochsner hands down. Don't chance going anywhere else. Thank you Ochsner!!
Great doctors, thorough and keep up with things needed as time passes, like vaccinations or other tests like DEXA scans, etc. Very nice clerks, patient and courteous. Been going there for over 10 years on an ongoing basis and I love the way all your information is centralized where any doctor can see what the other doctors are doing. Very important to be able to get the care I need from each one.
Every member of the staff has gone above and beyond during the planning and implementation of my daughter's care. We are coming from out of state since she will be attending college in the area, and I could not be any more confident she is getting the best care.
I'm still not sure about this hospital after spending the night with a family member from transplant unit I go down to get food at 10:30 in the morning to grab something quick to eat from the Bistro it was closed to set up for lunch. Wth I have never experience this from any hospital so no food was available for customers nor me after not sleeping all I wanted was food and regardless if the food is cater in or not the doors should be open just clueless.
