Efficiency and professionalism.
I went to St. Charles Parish Hospital today to receive my first chemo infusion. Unfortunately, what I expected to be an uneventful experience turned out to be quite scary. The infusion nurses Macrae and Orie were wonderful in helping to treat the hypersensitive reaction I had to the medication. They quickly stopped the medication, began treating me with benadryl, called additional personnel (doctors and respiratory therapists among others), and got my reaction under control. The service was excellent.
Everyone i dealt with was friendly and knowledgeable. My wait was very minimal, and my surgeon, Dr. Celestre, was very nice, friendly, and explained my options thoroughly. I would highly recommend this facility.
