Recommendedif you seriously need treatment, once the doctors get to you they will take care of you. but the staff, nurses, patient care techs & dietary are some of the rudest people I've ever met in my life. No one in the whole hospital ever says good morning, good night, or even hello! They should teach them humility & hospitality instead of just medicine.
My husband recently spent a week on 4 east after a surgery. The staff was caring, attentive, respectful and knowledgeable. From transporters, dietary, respiratory, patient techs and nurses - not one bad experience. It is not easy taking care of the sick (and their families) especially during the holidays but 4 east is certainly a team that can handle whatever is thrown at them. poor hospital. poor staff that doesn't take emergencies seriously. thoroughly disgusted about the service dog and how they were more concerned with calling the pound instead of treating that woman with the seizure. no compassion or regard to someone that needed their care. would never set foot in this place after this incident or after experiencing their lacidazical attitudes in the er.
Yet another NJ hospital with heartless staff members, telling a woman *having a seizure* they'd call animal control if she couldn't get her service dog out of there in 15 minutes. They're lucky she's still alive. They can join Monmouth Medical in being nothing but an uncaring money-maker. I hope I never get sick in this state, since the medical system here is sicker than the patients they supposedly serve. Refusing service animals is illegal. Your hospital needs a o make a large public apology and donation to the ADA.
