Everyone was very nice. They made sure you were comfortable and were kept informed.
As someone who works in a hospital I was on the other side today with my mother everyone I met was great and attentive . Started from the front desk to register all the way to waiting room where I met Jenna Derechailo from Patient Experience of food and nutrition and housekeeping and Colleen Ras-now patient service manager of Food and Nutrition came by and checked on me while waiting for my mom and reassured me all would be fine ! Was in ER last night with husband who has pneumonia. It was very very busy. Administration kept coming around and apologizing for the long wait and helped to expedite our wait. For as busy as they were we were treated with patience and a smile. Thank you for the wonderful service.
Billing department is a nightmare.
i’m only saying i don’t recommend ocean medical center because of the billing department, medical service was great. but i was on hold for over 30 mins to speak to someone in the billing department, they pick up to say “please hold” and then hang up before even speaking to me after holding another 10 mins and now the office is closed. this on top of not being able to bill my insurance company correctly so i’m getting the full bills in the mail yet again. i already called my insurance company and they have 0 claims from ocean... read more
In the ER last night with my brother who was brought there by ambulance) and it was a terrible experience. First, there was garbage and BLOOD on the floor of the room when we got there. Second, the nurses/staff (besides the house keeping who was very sweet) were negligent and rude. I politely asked what time the cafe opened (it was 5am) and her response was very rude. She snapped “it doesn’t open until 8am tomorrow morning! And you can’t go with your brother when he’s admitted!” I was totally taken back. Where did that come ... read more
