My father was admitted into your hospital on Thursday evening, November 12, 2020. A documentation was signed in order for me to come and converse on the medical decision needed for him. In the emergency room, I sat for 2 and half hours until I addressed the nurses station in regards to my dad's attending doctor. I never knew who his assigned nurse was because within 3 hours of being there, no one ever came to check on him. Once admitted, 24 hour access was to be granted for visitations. Everyday I have been harassed about th... read more

The only reason we come to Ocean Medical Center is because it’s close to our home. But definitely reconsidering where we come for outpatient services. As we speak, my family & I have been waiting 1hr 10min for my two young children’s blood work. Patients sitting on top of each other in the hallway as there is zero room in the waiting room. (Zero social distancing). As a healthcare provider myself, this is extremely poorly run with no sense of awareness by the staff.

Husband had an open emergent exploratory lap. Nurses on 3SW were generally satisfactory until the night of the 24th into the 25th. Deena and Tiqua were absolute bully’s and I’m not sure if they were bothered by my husband post op GI gas pains and GOD FORBID having to do the most minimal amount of work but they were cross, short, and altogether mean to him. Nurse Deena refused to medicate for pain 4 min early- also- rapid pushed IV Ativan into my husbands iv without telling him what she was giving him , said not a word, and w... read more

I live in California and was in New Jersey taking care of my Mom who is very ill. I caught a virus and fainted and ended up at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, New Jersey. I have great health insurance and could never imagine how bad this experience could be. I would rather have fainted again in my house alone then go back to that hospital. While in the ER they ran numerous tests that seemed unreasonable and unnecessary. They insisted I stay atleast one or two nights telling me I may have an infectious disease and much more. I... read more

I went to Ocean Medical on 4/3/20 with shortness of breath, and after a series of tests they suspected I was positive for COVID-19. I was swabbed and transferred to an isolation room. The staff and nurses on the 4th floor were amazing, they worked efficiently and professionally. With all that is going on, they stayed upbeat, friendly & handled every request quickly. I have to single out Nurse Janice & Nurse Pat who took care of me during my stay. Sorry, I didn’t get their last names, but I was in Room 419. Luckily my test ca... read more

I was discharged from the ER earlier this afternoon after worsening symptoms from suspected COVID-19. The staff were incredible, especially the nurses and techs. They were so kind even though I know they are working under the most difficult of circumstances. It was heartbreaking on my way out to see how many people were there so sick and so scared. And I know with a shortage of tests/supplies it’s the healthcare staff that bare the brunt of their frustrations. I wish I had a billion dollars to give them what they really need... read more
