The Oakdale Bar & Grill re-opened in February 2019. It is located next to the Oakdale Dam on the south side of Lake Freeman in Monticello, Indiana. Since then, the owners, Nick Blum, Dewey Brown, & Nicole Brown, have been motivated to not only continue the long legacy of The Oakdale, but they continue to provide a family friendly atmosphere with exceptional American Cuisine, Cold Beer, and Great Times.

Outstanding customer service! Delicious food! Incredible service!
Really gone downhill. I used to love this place. Last Saturday’s experience wasn’t good at all. Snotty fish (even the extra crispy order), onion rings almost burnt, and almost all of us had extremely upset stomachs that night and the next morning.
First time to stop in while visiting friends lake house. Best fish I’ve had since leaving Wisconsin! Most had catfish which they raved about, while I opted for Smelt....or as we say in Wisconsin, “schmelt”. � Everything was delicious, huge portions and very reasonably priced. The wait staff were very sociable and attentive. Could have spent the whole afternoon there.....wait...maybe we did! Don’t miss a stop here!

First time visiting and I was totally impressed! The catfish fillets are light and full of flavor! Perfect amount of breading! The cole slaw was good and the tartar sauce was flavorful! I'm a catfish snob, but these folks delivered big time! I will definitely make the return drive again! Great job guys! 10 stars!
