Beautiful grounds, nice house, lack luster tour. Our tour guide was okay. She seemed uninterested in the history of the house and like she had other things she'd rather be doing. I didn't feel like I learned a lot about either the family that resided there or the slaves who were forced labor. I just wish I had had a better tour guide. The guy dressed as a confederate soldier was very knowledgeable and cool! Went to Laura plantation directly after and it was a much more informative experience.
