Come enjoy her beauty and dream of her rich past . . . Located on the Mississippi River between the historic Louisiana cities of New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Oak Alley Plantation has been called the "Grande Dame of the Great River Road". It is a magical place. Love it.
Excellent restaurant and service. Gorgeous grounds and home. VERY well done presenting both sides of wealth and slavery during this time period. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and ready to share their knowledge. Plan on at least 3-4 hours to see all the exhibits.

Really brings home what life was like for both the slaves and those who lived in the big house
We had an amazing stay in one of the cottages! The Plantation itself with the trees that were hundreds of years old and the beauty of the place was just awe-inspiring. I would love to come back and bring family next time to share the cottage with. We loved being able to run around the entire property throughout the night even after all was closed and visitors no longer allowed in. We got a lot of amazing pictures. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. Thank you for a wonderful memory!
