Stopped by Saturday to have my tire patched. My son had also broken my valve stem putting air in my tire. I was quoted $203 to patch tire and replace valve sensor. I asked...can I buy a tire for less? I was told no because it would be the cost of the tire plus $65 for the sensor and another $102. The invoice referred to the $102 charge as another sensor, but was their hourly labor charge. Feeling that was a bit outlandish, I went to Discount Tire a few blocks away for a second opinion.
