Northside Hospital Cherokee is in network with Aetna. BUT Northside Emergency Associates will process as out of network, then bill you for the balance. This process should actually be illegal, and if Northside Hospital was decent they would put an end to their ER physicians doing this. I will NEVER EVER use Northside again, this is twice they have done this to us.
Depending on who you talk to, depends on the cost of treatment. I talked to 6 different people and got different prices every time. Then...when I paid our bill....IN FULL...I get a letter from a collections agency, when I never got a bill... Now I get to go through my records from 6 months ago and defend myself to an office of people who do not know what each other are doing. Unprofessional and a hot mess of an office. I'll never use them again, nor refer someone to them.
RecommendedI can't say enough about how good everyone at Northside Cherokee has been to both Mama and me. Its hard being in the hospital but they have went above and beyond to make it more comfortable...from the doctor, nurses, techs, dietary, respiratory, surgery, housekeeping....I cannot say enough about them all! Mamas nurse yesterday even brought me a balloon!
Hands down best hospital experience!!! Every person I met (admin check in to nurses and dr) were all so nice. They sensed my fear and helped me By reassuring me and being there for me. Made me feel like I was a person and not just a number Thank you surgical team and all the ladies on Floor 6 for taking care of me. 5 stars for sure
We called and checked twice with our share plan agent on the phone (recorded) to make sure we would be be able to submit our bills to our share plan for the birth of our first child. After 7 months of being lied to, they decided they no longer would submit to the share plan and demanded $17,000 up front. I am 7 months pregnant, have high blood pressure, and had to scramble to find a new hospital and OB at the last minute. Worst billing department I have ever dealt with in my life! I will never go back to this hospital for any reason! Your employee “James” should be ashamed at the way he talks to customers. I have been to only a handful of hospitals my entire life and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Unbelievable!
My mother was here a few times. The staff was fantastic! They all took such great care of her. The ER staff was excellent. Mom was admitted. She spent 2 weeks there. She had excellent care there Everyone was so caring! I highly recommend this hospital!!!
Impatient workers, rattle off information to patients don’t give them time to process info before they go on to the next
Had a terrible experience at the Northside Cherokee ER. Then I get a call about it from Patient Relations and I tell them what all happen and then I get a letter just saying how they are just back tracking on what was said to me at the ER and what happen. In other words they are just CYA!! Themselves. I had a miss read /and taken wrong chest X-ray and then told I had something on my right lung. SO a CT scan was recommended ,due to the scare of that of course I ask the ER to go ahead and do it since I was there. Long story sh... read more
