North Pole Veterinary Hospital was started by Dr. Karl Monetti in 1971 as a large and small animal practice. The hospital was operated out of his house until 1984. In 1984, Dr. Monetti built the present hospital facility on Hurst Road and it became strictly a small animal practice. RecommendedI am beyond moved with the compassion that the clinic has for both its clients and employees alike. I fully recommend this business as a whole. I have about 5 years solely using NPV and over 10 years trying out several clinics between North Pole and Fairbanks. I had to take my girl in this morning for an emergency visit after labor took a more complicated turn. Everyone was so sweet, so supportive, & very patient with my one million questions. We ended up with an immediate c-section where they managed to safely deliver the remaining healthy puppies and most importantly took the best care of my girl. I couldn’t be more pleased and grateful for the care they took of her, her babies, and me! Picture of my beautiful momma and her 9 perfect babies ❤️😊

I had to put my 15 year old girl down and chose this place because a friend recommend them. I’m so glad I chose them because the employees were incredible. From my phone call to all 4 of the staff members who worked with me and my dog, they were compassionate, considerate and made the most saddest experience go as best as it could go. They gave me ample amount of time with my dog, gave her a nice blanket to rest on and were very gentle with her both before, during and after the procedure.

We already took our dog here. This past weekend our 12 year old some cat who adopted us a few years back got very sick, he had a lot of things wrong and the staff was compassionate and caring when we had to make the humane decision to euthanize him. He ruled our home well.

Very unorganized. Appts made and they don’t have a record of them when you arrive. Gave puppy second unnecessary rabies shot cause they aren’t paying attention.
Love the care my fur kids receive by all of the staff at NPVH. My boy has a collapsed trachea and his breathing is very labored when stressed (like when going to visit the vet), but yesterday Dr Pinto and a vet tech came outside to see him and got a sample in the parking lot. We were on our way without him suffering too much anxiety and subsequent breathing difficulties. THANK YOU!!!
I just want to give a shout out to North Pole Veterinary Hospital. I have an older dog who gives everyone such a hard time when he has to be poked and prodded anymore, and every single time I take him in, they exceed my expectations with how well they treat him and me. They always take every precaution to keep him safe as well as themselves. And they always reassure me that every thing will be ok and never make me feel bad for my doggo’s behavior.
