North Pole Veterinary Hospital was started by Dr. Karl Monetti in 1971 as a large and small animal practice. The hospital was operated out of his house until 1984. In 1984, Dr. Monetti built the present hospital facility on Hurst Road and it became strictly a small animal practice. I have a senior cat who had severe constipation who needed multiple visits to the vet. I usually go to a vet here in Fairbanks, but at the time North Pole Vet Hospital was the only one who could take her. The doctor, Dr. Lovely was so attentive and so gentle with my sweet girl. She recommended Kitty stay the night, and made sure it didn’t cost me a fortune. The following day was a weekend and Kitty was being taken care of by Dr. Dick. We only have good things to say about this Vet. They are super friendly and have done a great job with all our animals. They've so far been down to earth about the care our pets needed, up front with estimates, and reasonably priced. Our dogs were loved there and received lots of treats during their recent wellness exam. They also really helped us out a lot last year when our dogs caught kennel cough for the very first time, it was awful not being able to find a vet who could help us on an emergency basis (our other vet we u... read more

Everyone at the hospital is professional and very kind, especially the front desk staff! They did a wonderful job checking us in and out and were so friendly and efficient! They were also very accommodating when I was locked out of my car

We just visited North Pole vet for the first time this week. Dr. Lovely was incredible, patient, kind and very informative. I had taken our dog to a different vet clinic in the area three different times for a constant watering and red eye. I was told it was just environmental allergies and nothing could be done. After my third visit they finally gave him some drops, but they didn’t help him. Luckily I listened to my gut that something was wrong and brought him to Dr. Lovely. North Pole Veterinary Hospital is everything you want to see in a Veterinary clinic. We go to them regularly but most recently our dog had to have emergency surgery after being misdiagnosed by another clinic. The level of care received has really amazed my family. They took the time to walk us through everything, answered my 100+ questions, and were so compassionate the entire time. I could not ask for better.
