To m, the first character I look for in a pickup is the definition in the midrange. I have never heard a more esticitially appealing tone solo or in the mix then the Nordstrand Big Single. To have a pickup sound work in both settings is rare. I have used all the flavorings Nordstrand offers and its is all top notch quality across the board. You cannot go wrong.
I only put the best in my basses. I recently added the NJ5 / MM 5.2 pickups and the reproduction Stingray Bass preamp to my Peaches. Nordstrand has proven to be very reliable. The tone quality is excellent and can't be matched. I recommend these pickups and electronics for all your needs !
