I was a long time white knuckle patient who would have rather put up with the pain then go to a dentist. This was mainly due to bad dentist that I encountered in the military. Dr. Rice got me over the fear of Dentist. I now have no problem or concern going to see a dentist. Unlike other dentist I have been to Dr. Rice trys to save a tooth instead of pulling it out. I've been a patient of Steve's since my early teens, all three of my kids have been patients since age five and my wife has been a patient since we started dating. We drive into the city from Havertown, so it's not like we don't have some incentive to find another dentist. My family and I have been patients of Dr. Rice for many years. He is a superb dentist and a very kind individual. We recommend him highly from personal experience both from our routine care and from several prior serious dental problems. He is impeccably honest, caring, and as a bonus, he has a fine sense of humor. We would not go to any other dentist, no matter what cost savings were possible. W. F
I am 36 years old and have been going to Dr Rice since I was 5. Over that 31 year period, I've been with many different employers and even more insurance plans. Dr Rice doesn't participate with my current plan but I still go to him, not only because of the comfort level, but for his vast knowledge of dentistry and extremely gentle touch. I have been a patient at this office for many years. Dr. Rice is a very gentle dentist. I have had other dentists who just tried to run up a bill by telling me I had problems I didn't have, but I Dr. Rice is honest and doesn't do work I don't need. I have had some cosmetic bonding and a couple of crowns done and everything is fine.
I've had numerous root canals done over the years at many different dental offices throughout the country. The most recent 2 were completed by Dr Rice and were not only painless, but flawless. Anytime I hear someone say the words "tooth" or "ache", I quickly throw out his contact information. His staff is friendly and efficient staff, and Dr Rice is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. A++
