This center does platelet donations, not blood. (For blood, go down to the Bethesda campus or go to Red Cross in Rockville.) This center is modern, very clean, everyone was friendly and professional when I donated a few months ago. I'm going back today to help with their critical need. I like the fact that collections are used for local area NIH patients. They have a large selection of movies to watch, will serve you as many Tumms as you want and have a great selection of post donation snacks and drinks.
Well organized, professional, always work hard to make sure you have a comfortable experience. Also great selection of movies and snacks!
I scheduled an appointment with Erika. She never sent the information to access the site. I call back, speak to Sam ( I think), he didn't email me either. If you'd like to donate blood good luck.
