Olga Matievskaya organized fundraising to buy the protective gear that was needed by staff that you could not or chose not to provide during the COVID-19 pandemic. You suspended her. You are DESPICABLE!

Put a nurse on suspension when hospitals are short nurses and desperate for the public’s help in obtaining protective gear. You weren’t providing the gear to your staff and Olga stepped in and helped with donations (that the hospital itself has asked for as well and ACCEPTED) and then you suspended her when she provided what you failed to provide. Immediately fire those staff members involved in her suspension. They’re the bad apples. Shame on you. This hospital must be where people simply come to die.

Newark Beth Israel punishes their staff for trying to help fellow nurses get protective gear. Suspending a nurse for raising funds to buy PPE is just shameful. I don't care what their policy is, their actions are unacceptable. Something is wrong when a nurse feels forced to buy supplies that her employer seemingly won't provide and is then punished most likely for making the hospital look bad since they failed to protect their staff.

In such a time of need this is what you do a nurse going above and beyond for your staff and hospital. This is disgraceful you should be ashamed!
