RecommendedSome of my friends have underground tornado shelters. They told me that they encounter some issues with the underground water and clay soil. I did a lot of online research. In the end, I contacted Dirk at New Day Tornado. He responded to me immediately and we got our tornado shelter installed within a week. It was delivered, set up and anchored in just a little over an hour. It is not only very STURDY and well-built, but also cozy! We highly recommend New Day Tornado Shelters!!!!
Over a year ago my family purchased a New Day Tornado Shelter. The compact and efficient design was a perfect fit in our garage, and installation and delivery was quick and professional. Unike shelter designs that are installed in the floor of your garage, the New Day shelter does not collect dirt and debris, is easy to enter and exit, leaves your garage floor intact and after a year looks as good as the day it was installed. Another plus is it can be removed and installed in another location if you move. Highly recommended.

We purchased a shelter last year. Dirk and crew were great to work with. I looked at several local suppliers before deciding to have them drive from Tulsa to DFW to install my shelter. The New Day Shelter is amazingly well engineered and is made to make you as comfortable as possible in an emergency. Other shelters we checked out were basically a steel box with no consideration for the occupants. I highly recommend these guys. We are looking forward to being safe this year during storm season.

We went and looked at the shelter today at 1 pm, Dirk had another appointment after ours, however he was at our home by 4 pm and installed in our garage. The shelters are spacious and inviting inside, much roomier than what they appear in the pictures. Thank you Dirk.
Today we had an 11am appt just to LOOK at Dirks shelters, at his shop. We liked the shelter so much, by 2:30 PM, Dirk had finished installing it in our garage! We spent the hour after he left, taking pictures, and practicing locking it. Thn I got inside, and made phone calls from my cell to see if I could get a signal. Yes, I could! Thanks, Dirk. Hopefully, we will never have too know IF this shelter works, but the expirience was totally positive.
