RecommendedThanks to Monkey Island resident Ron Young (a famous Broadway tap dancer in Hello Dolly & more), I became aware of New Day Shelters. Yesterday, I became the proud owner of my own! The owner personally came, evaluated, & installed! He’s very knowledgeable & knows his stuff! Of course, the shelter is his brainchild after all! I was going to move out of Oklahoma because of tornados & earthquakes! Now that I’m staying...this shelter gives me much comfort of protection! Thank you Ron Young for paving the way for my new shelter!

Dirk is fantastic to work with. He goes out of his way to make sure your shelter gets installed absolutely as quickly as possible. New Day shelters meet or exceed FEMA specifications. A couple of the best features for us are that it can be installed inside or outside and it can be moved with us should we decide to move to a new location.
I have a safe room at mo old residents but it does not compare to the quality of my new round shelter! The price is right and Dirk, the owner, is a professional and a perfectionist. I highly recommend this shelter! Mike
We put ours in the spring after the Joplin tornado and have had to use it several times to include this past May 22 when Carl Junction was hit. Dirk and company were wonderful to work with. It looks as good as the day they installed it and provides much peace of mind. When your dog jumps in before you, you know something is up. He felt safe in it too!
Dirk has engineered a fantastic shelter at a great price. The New Day Tornado shelter fits our family of four and two small dogs just fine. The footprint allows us to put both cars in the garage during hail storms. The thickness of the steel, sturdy locking mechanisms, and HILTI anchors put the shelter miles above others. If you're looking for a second home for the apocalypse, this isn't it. But if you need something practical to ride out spring storms in, this is perfect.
