Amazing cut and color..Great find – I have been living in KC for 6 years, and have really been a 'salon hopper' during my time here, even trying some of the bigger named salons, because I never found a place with an atmosphere that I felt comfortable in, a stylist that I felt I could trust completely AND communicate easily with about my preferences and needs, with a price that was sustainable for me. BAD cut.- I'm pretty convinced all of the 5 star reviews are written by staff. BEWARE! – I wouldn't normally bother writing a review, but this is my go-to being new to the area to find out where to eat, get my hair cut, etc. Well I saw the good reviews for New Creations so I went for a cut and color. I asked for an angled bob- not stacked in the back. I took in a picture, it was of me with the haircut I wanted, so obviously it had been done before on me and should have been able to be recreated. Relaxing atmosphere with very talented + friendly staff – I decided to take a chance after reading all the outstanding reviews here on city search. I found the perfect salon !! I had to spread the word !! – I am a working professional woman who has had several salon experiences in several cities, due to my frequent moves. Very Comfortable Salon – I had Brazilian wax, They squeezed me in at a moments notice. I was so nervous. I was a wax virgin so I didn't know what to expect, I assumed it would be painful and awkward. Was I ever wrong...Sandra Rocks. She can wax like nobody's business plus she is cool and very easy to be around. She makes you feel comfortable in a not so comfy situation. Absolute nightmare – I have had all sorts of services there from Brazilian wax to highlights and although the atmosphere was cool, and my stylist Lindsay was really nice, everything else was terrible. My Brazilian wax was okay at first, aside from the fact that the woman doing it talked incessantly and did not seem to pay attention to what she was doing, but she has slathered on so many different products from gel, to power that by the time I got home, I literally had to pry myself open (sorry for the vulgarity). Simply the best – Lindsey is a true professional with a flair for hair! Beauty on a budget – I've been going to Sandra's for going on about a year and I love what she does with her facial treatments (I've had the glycolic peels and microdermabrasion) and spa pedicures. I also love her products and return policy. I also enjoy the salons vibe. Sandra can be a little spacy and I know to give her time, but I wouldn't go ANYWHERE else. Feels like family.
