After learning that our 3.5 pound, 3 month old Shih Tzu had a Diaphragmatic Hernia, my husband and I rushed to find a veterinarian who could handle such a surgery where we could afford their services. Believe it or not, it can be difficult to find a vet who is knowledgeable about treating guinea pigs. We've had many over the years, and Neffsville Veterinary, in particular Dr. Doman and Dr. Rouen, has been stellar in treating them when they needed it. They also treated our cats, who were a handful (an adorable yet sharp and pointy handful). Neffsville Veterinary is on the more expensive side, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Dr. Joanna Parr has been an amazing vet to our Rocco who was brutally attacked by another dog and needed surgery. He also developed IBS and some tummy issues and she has been incredible with his care. We highly recommend this practice for all your pets needs including the pet resort that Rocco loves. Everyone at the clinic is AMAZING.
Last week, my senior dog who I recently adopted, woke up in the morning with a problem with his rear leg. He couldn't move it and was dragging it along the floor. I called the vet and they were able to see him that morning. Dr. Hillenbrand is very knowledgeable, personable and kind. She explained everything and took extra care, after the blood results, while explaining that my dog has Lyme and how to go about helping him.
