I gave them one star only because it doesn't go any lower! I applied for a mortgage thru NLC to purchase a home contingent on selling my current home first. During the 60 day process I was hounded via emailand phone calls by an employee of NLC Justin ******insisting that I pay the appraisal fee NOW becauethey needed it to proceed. My realtor advised me not until my home sold but he emailed and called me daily. I finally paid it. He told me in a phone conversation that if my home did not sell the fee would be refunded 100%. This is a terrible company! I have refinanced twice and noticed that my mortgage balance has increased $20,000. Looking through the paperwork I found a neatly tucked away page that stated my refinance was going to cost over $11,000. This figure was never verbalized to me. Spoke with a supervisor and his answer was too bad! You had seven days to complain! I have been complaining since I received my first statement!

The advisor is so friendly and approachable at the first. But when you provide everything that they needed you can't contact them anymore. My concern is we paid $550 for appraisal fee and you have to wait for a long time and then suddenly the advisor will send you a message saying that our application is declined. I really think that they need to give it back our money.

I was denied loan just as I was ready to close for inadequate collateral and two many pulls on my credit report. The appraisal came in at at asking price so that should of been fine. My credit score was close to 800 and only pulls were from trying for a loan for mortgage. They knew about the credit pulls from the day they checked my credit which was first day I applied. They had my Apprasial 3 weeks before the denial. Still had me get insurance and sign closing disclosure then at last minute denied without even telling me. T... read more

I am a Nationwide insurance agent and could not reach anybody at Nations Lending corporate to find out if a insurance check had been sent for a refinanced home loan. Since their website mycoverageinfo.com was less than helpful. I reached out to the Nations Lending office in Chesapeake City, Maryland where the loan originated and they emailed me that the check "should be mailed out on 8/2/2021". We paid for UNSATISFACTORY and UNPROFESSIONAL title services on the refinance of our home. I have recommended to my loan company and they concur that they will not be using your services again. We notified our lender weeks in advance that we would be using a SPOA since I am deployed overseas. However, the notary attempted to contact me to setup a time, instead of my wife.
