Was told by the broker there was no surrender fee, after surrendering two policies with statefarm to move tp national life, and when I again decided to surrender the policy I was told there was a $9,000 surrender fee. I only have about $3,000 in the policy. I was lied to, I was duing my due diligence with brokers after not being satisfied with my Statefarm I.U.L Policy. And am told my only option is to stop paying into the policy and have coverage until it runs out.

I surrendered my account on June ******* and was charged 50 dollars to overnight the check. It's July 8th 2025. And have not received anything. Call ***** and gave them the tracking number today July 8th and they said only a table was made. And they haven't received the package. Called customer service multiple times. And they keep saying it will take more time. I asked why did I pay to over night it. And still no answer on when ill receive my check.

Very friendly, but sales person ***** P did not seem to know much. After having the policy for a year they decided that my Cardiac Aneurism were dangerous and growing in complete opposition of the cardiologist and my primary doctor's letters and test results. ***** S even said that my doctors were lying! This attempt to raise premiums is without a doubt criminal and against code of ethics. I will pursue
One of their employees, ****** *****, stole 20k from us. Of course we took legal action.
I concur with all of the other customers. I bought into this policy stuff and it's not what they sell you for sure. I bought into the Flex Life Index in 2021, and I paid in over $7,000 to this date. When I looked at my accumulated value it is just at $3,000. Each year that I have been with this company I have paid for administration fees and maintenance fee at $1,800 yearly. One would think the best business practice would be to notify a customer that the premium on a life ********************** plan has increased. But instead they just pull the money from the accumulated value. Sure they have a disclaimer, but WOW what hardship would NLG under go by generating an illustration ahead of having to tap into the accumulated value? *** really needs to get their act together Customer Engagement First . *** must think that prior notice would not be appropriated.
*** collected premium on an unsigned policy and claimed that they were in their right to do so because I had agreed to autodraft. I told them that I am a licensed agent and that I know this is illegal and unethical, and that the signature is what binds the agreement between them and I. Every time I called no one was knowledgeable, the phone agents were rude and combative mostly. Needless to say, I cancelled the entire policy. I surrendered my insurance policy in July via phone and emailed the necessary form needed. I had to re-submit in the name I opened the policy in per phone conversation. Once re-submitted with documents that I provided as proof of ownership, I was told I would receive the current value of the policy. I was told in one email it was processed and it would take 2 to 3 days to show up in my account, which I provided that information as well. I am dissatisfied with National Life Group because they refused to underwrite a life insurance policy for me for the following reasons "information in application-height/weight and medical history in application-psychiatric disorders controlled multiple medications". I am baffled at the fact that this insurance company listed my mental health as a reason for not providing a favorable decision regarding my application.
