I always use National Car and this last rental really drove home why I do. We were on vacation on Phoenix visiting family. We accidentally left an Ipad under the seat of the car we rented. National Car found it, and emailed me letting me know what they found and how I wanted to get it back; mail it or pick it up. I was very impressed by the fact that it was turned in at all. I have been renting from National Car Rental for more than a year. I rent quarterly and have received nothing less than excellent service checking in and returning the vehicle. All questions are handled professionally. I would not consider any other car rental service.

The representative was very attentive and polite. She offered me an upgrade after our conversation was interrupted by an airport police officer asking for a piece of paper. The entire transaction took fewer than 5 minutes after booking online. Returning was even easier.

I travel all over the US and this is one of the best places to rent a car. Always a good selection of cars, quick service to leave the lot, excellent return service and prompt shuttles to take me to the airport when all is said and done. LA has terrible traffic, but the car rental center for National is no trouble at all.

They were very disorganized. The check in process was chaotic. The return process was much better except they tacked on an extra $100.00 plus that I still have no idea what it was for. Be wary.

Limited selection of vehicles when choosing. Rented a 2015 Ford Focus with high mileage, transmission problems. When I stopped to pump gas the vehicle auto locked the doors, requiring AAA to come out and slim jim the door. Not a good rental vehicle at all- definetly not please with my rental experience.

I have used National a lot this summer. Most of the experiences have been okay. The selection there is awesome...I've been able to rent my preferential vehicle almost every time, and the one time I wasn't, I got a comparable car. Most of the employees there are good. Very friendly and quick to help. My biggest complaint has to do with the shuttle which connects the rental center to the airport. There have been times that I've had to wait at the curbside of the airport for around 20 minutes waiting for the bus to show up. And... read more

Lot personnel are always friendly and helpful. I was able to upgrade at no charge which I very much appreciated. Drop off is always quick and seamless as well. Highly recommend National Car Rental!
