Great pizza, service, view of the river is sublime.
We went on a 5th grade overnight field trip. Whitewater rafting the first day was so much fun the kids had a blast! Our hike with Mary on the 2nd day was so nice and very informative. Was a great trip, will definitely be back!
We went zip lining & rafting. Jacob, Greg?, and the Hannahs were our zip lining guides. They were super patient, had great corny jokes, and were very knowledgeable about the wildlife. I have a terrible fear of heights & Tiny Hannah did a great job in convincing me to go down the mega zip! � Rafting was awesome as well, we went on the same day as a field trip of 6th graders. We always stop by the Hwy 19 location on our way to and from Gatlinburg. This time we actually got the chance to do a white water trip down the Nantahala. We could not have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend checking out everything the NOC has to offer. Our guide "Mikey" was fantastic as well. Very knowledgeable about the history of the area and very experienced in white water rafting.
Not for large groups. After a long day paddling the Cascades and the Upper and Lower stretches of the Nantahala, our group was starving. We walked in around 6 pm and instantly we were treated with nothing short of rudeness. The restaurant was nearly empty, but the group of servers were completely incompetent and refused to seat us unless we split according to the check. Whatever. We left and had a delicious dinner at Pizza By the River, where there was only one individual working, but yet he welcomed 19 paying customers.
We enjoyed our day on the river so much thanks to our awesome guide Brooklyn Joe. He Knows the river well and the surrounding environment. Learned a lot about the area from him and we had such a great time!
