Over two decades ago Nam Phuong, a Vietnamese Restaurant opened its doors to locals of Philadelphia. The restaurant was named in honor of Queen Nam Phuong, the last queen of Vietnam. They were an instant hit with the locals and from a food truck they flourished quickly into a restaurant. I come here a lot. I like the shrimp crepe and the chicken with vegetables with the egg noodles. I will branch out more (re: the menu) in the future. Parking is sometimes a problem.
It was pretty busy for lunch, which I took as a good sign. I started with the spring rolls (two rolls per serving). They were good--your standard spring rolls, which is a-okay with me. I had the chicken pho. The broth was flavorful, and it was a good alternative to my favorite pho. The Hubs had a caramelized catfish claypot (say that three times fast), and he enjoyed it.
