Over two decades ago Nam Phuong, a Vietnamese Restaurant opened its doors to locals of Philadelphia. The restaurant was named in honor of Queen Nam Phuong, the last queen of Vietnam. They were an instant hit with the locals and from a food truck they flourished quickly into a restaurant. Great authentic Vietnamese food
The papaya salad is one of my favorites - pictured are the spare ribs in special sauce.
Service was excellent and the dishes were generous. The best calamari I have ever had in the past 50 years of traveling.
I went with my husband and another friend to Nam Phuong last night at around 8 and we sat for at least 15 minutes without even getting acknowledged or brought water. There were staff walking around and less than half the tables had anyone seated at them, so it clearly wasn't backed up because of a rush of people. We finally got up (and we were ignored when we left, too) and went to Food Terminal instead, and had a delicious meal with excellent service there.
Large selection of Vietnamese standard fishes, authentic, reasonable priced.
this is my FAVORITE Viet place to eat in the ATL. better than the Nam Phuong off Jimmy Carter. the staff makes the difference. 🥰
