Do Your Homework, I m sure you can find a better company than My Plumber of Manassas, VA. I visited my parents today to find that my father had called My Plumber of Manassas, VA to have a garbage disposal replaced. My Plumber charges \$80 just to arrive onsite...apparently My Plumber cannot do an estimate over the phone. Once the plumber was on site, he said the unit would cost either \$600 or \$800 depending upon the quality of the garbage disposal. I finally found a plumber who knows what hes doing. I had to have our 2 month old water heater serviced when the pilot light went out and neither my husband and I could reignite it as we were able to in the last few weeks. I initially called the plumber who installed it, but got the run around. I was desperate to get hot water (I have my elderly grandmother living with us), so I called around to see who was available. As usual Chuck Smith provided good quality service for me. I have been using him and My Plumber for years now. This goes back to my prior residence. He has become a friend to my mother who is 92. That means a lot to me. I will continue to use My Plumber; and of course I will always continue to request Chuck.My Plumber should give Chuck a raise :-)
I got A new washer and dryer and noticed that the cold water shut off valve had a very slow leak, so I called three plumbers and two that showed gave me an estimate to replace the hot and cold shut off valves. The difference between the two plumbers I called was, One told me I had to replace the valves and My Plumber told me the valve may just need to be tightened witch would save me a lot of money compared to replacement. My Plumber technician Rob was great. He was upfront about my options and pricing, and even took the time to explain why the problem had happened in the first place. He worked with me to salvage my current toilet system with a rebuild as opposed to having to purchase a new (and more expensive) one. Very professional, timely and neat.Thanks!
