Open since 1919, this classic restaurant was long the bastion of Hollywood industry power dining. With the look and feel of a private Men's club, Musso & Frank Grill rose to fame in the Golden Years of Hollywood, when Irving Thalberg, Clark Gable and the Marx Brothers were among its most celebrated clients. A new favorite! I had a wonderful first experience and I'll be sure to visit again in the near future. Excellent food, ambiance and service.
Best French onion soup I've ever had! Had steaks and Brussel sprouts and it was perfect!
Such a joy to sit at the bar at Musso & Frank on a Wednesday night and see the place packed to the aged rafters! Our martinis were perfect, although vodka, not gin due to a terrible Tanqueray experience in Key West aeons ago (another story). The food is always delicious with a lot of Super Old School menu delicacies you likely never had before, with a good mix of standard menu fare as well. Same old staff, friendly from the front to the busboys to the kitchen staff. IMPOSSIBLE not to visit LA without a stop here.
The ambiance and the furniture takes you back to the grandeur of early Hollywood, and the uniformed waiters and the service remind you of days past, but what really speaks to you about this historic eatery, is the grand and delicious food. If you want to relive Hollywood, this is the only place left. *****
The food was delicious the staff wee excellent. We sat in charli chaplins booth and got history lesson about him and othee stars it was great x
Husband is a Los Angeles native but had never been to Musso & Frank's. Had 7:30 reservations on New Year's Eve. We were seated immediately. The server (Miguel) was very attentive. Had a few of the specials, steaks and drinks. Probably the best rib eye I have ever had. We never felt rushed and yet we were out by 8:30. The ambiance and nostalgia were great! Definitely going back!
