I bought tickets for Joan jett and heart. Well Joan didn't play tonight. However i was told by the staff that I couldn't get my money back because she was never on the show. He was extremely rude. I bought these tickets on Valentine's day as a present. Would have been nice to know before we got there. It was kinda crazy to pay 140$$ to watch one band for an hour. I bought the tickets four months in advance. It sucks because I really love this place. But the guy in the box office was extremely rude.
The Egyptian Room appears to be under renovation, and the temporary seating was far, far too narrow to accommodate adults. In addition, the concession prices were outrageously high. We spent a lot for the concert tickets, and to be gouged for drinks and snacks, in such an uncomfortable environment, was just plain greedy. We won't be back unless we hear that these problems have been remedied.
Seen Marilyn here last night was a bit skeptical d/t reviews i had read but i loved it! We're from ky about 3 1/2 hr drive for us will def be returning
It can be crowded sometimes, but that's to be expected with large venues. The theater is always clean and comfortable. Always have a good time. Took a star off because the basic seating in the Egyptian Room can be super crammed together (shoulders touching), so if you want shoulder room, upgrade to nicer seats. Drinks and food are way overpriced but it's kind of to be expected.
DO NOT BUY TICKET UPGRADES. I paid $60 for my sister and I to upgrade our tickets for a parking spot and admittance to the "Crowne Room." The parking you get is in the $10 lot, and the extra $50 was basically for a couple of pretzels in a less than extraordinary room. The ONLY plus side (not nearly worth an extra $50) is a bathroom in the room. There is a bar, but the drinks are outrageously overpriced. Beers cost $7-$14. Cocktails were up to $25 for ONE top shelf cocktails. These are the same prices to the many bars outside... read more
I've attended many events and always enjoy your venue. However, I do plead with you not to bring the circus back to Indianapolis. Circuses have a long record of cruelty to animals. The training is very abusive and the long hours and days riding in transports are hard on the animals. I have seen wonderful circuses with human performers and hope to see the use of animals phased out in the near future.
